Jury Acquits Teen In Slaying Of Another Teen

A Franklin County jury has found an 18-year-old girl not guilty on murder and manslaughter charges.  Cierra Howard was charged with adult counts of murder, involuntary manslaughter and negligent homicide following the May 2014 stabbing death of Jasmine Goodwin on Kenview Road. She claimed she acted in self-defense after a group of armed teens approached and wanted to fight her.
