The historic clock tower in Plain City will be removed for repairs on Saturday. The cost to repair the Seth Thomas clock is 45-thousand dollars. Private donations and a state grant are funding the repairs that are expected to be completed by the fall. The clock is getting a new paint job and new lights, along with new cables and wood fixtures. It is one of two all-mechanical tower clocks left in the country.
