Local Man's Charitable Donation Leads To Filing Of Rape Charges

An Ashville man has been charged with raping a 3-year-old girl after incriminating photos were found in items he donated to the Salvation Army. 48-year-old Gary Sovie is being held on 150 thousand dollars bond pending a preliminary hearing next week. Police say the photos were found in a tote bag he left in a donation box.
