Columbus Teen Sentenced In Beating Of Homeless Man

Franklin County Sheriff's Office

A Columbus man will serve four years in prison for an assault on an elderly homeless man that was captured on video. The video was posted online. 19-year-old Terrance Pyfrom was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of felonious assault. The victim sustained a broken jaw in the attack at the corner of Trevitt and Atcheson streets in April of last year. Prosecutors have not released a motive, but many authorities have noted assaulting the homeless has become a game played by a growing number of American youth.
