Columbus Drug Dealer Sentenced In Torture Case

Ross County Sheriff's Office

The Columbus drug dealer charged with torturing a Ross County man last summer will serve 10 years in prison after entering an Alford plea this week to charges of kidnapping and felonious assault. Prosecutors say 40-year-old Ernest Moore III burned, branded and tasered 42-year-old Arthur Hamlin after the victim stole money and drugs from him. Hamlin was able to escape. Prosecutors say Hamlin ran drugs for Moore. Two other suspects in the case - 39-year-old David Brown and 33-year-old Wallace Coleman - are serving eight year prison sentences.
