Interim Successor To Summit County Executive Chosen

Summit County Council president Ilene Shapiro is the new interim County Executive.  She was sworn in yesterday to serve the remained of the term of Russ Pry, who died on Sunday of colon cancer.  The term expires at the end of the year. The county Democratic Party will have to nominate someone to run for the seat this fall.
