Voters In Minerva Park, Walnut Township Approve Tax Levies

Voters in Fairfield County's Walnut Township school district yesterday approved a five year, 1.7-mill renewal levy by about 51 percent, according to unofficial election results. The levy will cost the owner of a 100 thousand dollar home 52 dollars a year. Voters approved a new 7-mill levy last year, and district officials say both are necessary to balance the budget. Voters in Minerva Park yesterday renewed a five year, 3.2 mill operating levy by about 51 percent, according to unofficial results. The levy will fund village operations. It will cost the owner of a 100 thousand dollar home 98 dollars a year.
