Driver In Crash That Killed Columbus Official, OSU Student Found Guilty

Columbus Division of Police

The man accused of causing a crash that killed two pedestrians in downtown Columbus in 2014 has been found guilty of all charges. 63-year-old Terrance Trent was convicted by a Franklin County jury Friday on two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide in the deaths of 21-year-old Stephanie Fibelkorn and 58-year-old Bill Lewis. Fibelkorn was an Ohio State University intern working with Lewis, who was Chief Mobility Engineer with the City of Columbus. Trent - who drove his pickup truck into a Groveport-Madison school bus that hit the pedestrians at Broad and High Streets - was also found guilty on two counts of vehicular assault for injuries to his passenger and the bus driver in the crash. Trent will be sentenced in September.
