Trial Set For Columbus Man Who Caused Fatal Crash

A Franklin County judge today scheduled an October 26 trial date for the motorist charged in a downtown Columbus crash that killed two pedestrians last December.

The judge accepted the conclusion of a third psychological evaluation on 62-year-old Terrance Trent, who's been found competent to stand trial. He's charged with crashing his pickup truck into a Groveport-Madison school bus, which then struck and killed 21-year-old Stephanie Fibelkorn and 58-year-old Bill Lewis at Broad and High Streets.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
