Local Coach Sentenced For Stealing From Team Fundraisers

A former Bloom-Carroll High School volunteer softball coach has been sentenced to three years' probation for stealing from team fundraisers. 44-year-old Aaron Alvelo previously pleaded guilty to stealing 55 hundred dollars from the team on which his daughter played. Alvelo resigned last year and said he took the money because of financial problems.
