Marion police are searching for a man who failed to show up for his scheduled court appearance on Monday. Police say Najmudeen Salaam was on house arrest, and removed his ankle monitor over the weekend. The contractor at the Marion Correctional Institution was due to appear on charges of bringing drugs into the lockup. Salaam previously served an 18 year prison sentence for rape.
