Suspects Convicted In Fatal Shooting Of Hilltop Bystander

Two Columbus residents have been convicted in the shooting death of a Hilltop man in July of last year. A Franklin County jury says 22-year-old Jalen Hall killed 61-year-old Charles Mahon outside of a Springmont Avenue home following a neighborhood dispute. The jury says 21-year-old Alexa Curtis, the mother of the victim's child, called Hall to the home. Prosecutors say Mahon was not the intended victim. Prosecutors say Curtis and Robert Tyler had argued hours before the shooting over 80 dollars. Tyler lives near the Mahon home.  Hall and Curtis will be sentenced on December 8.
