Sentencing is pending for a Springfield man convicted of killing a man with a choke hold. A Clark County jury says 34-year-old Prentiss Hare killed 35-year-old Deshun Lumford last year during an argument over drugs. Defense attorneys claimed Lumford died of a fentanyl overdose, but prosecutors used witness testimony and other evidence to refute those claims.
