Gahanna Man Who Doused Fiancee With Gas Gets 11 Years In Prison

The Gahanna man accused of throwing gasoline on his fiancee and setting her on fire behind a gas station has been convicted of aggravated arson and other charges. 41-year-old Michael Slager pleaded no contest yesterday and was sentenced to 11 years in prison for the August 2015 attack on 33-year-old Judith Malinowski. She remains hospitalized in critical condition with severe burns and would not have been able to testify at trial. Slager entered the plea just before the start of his trial.
