Bond is set at 500 thousand dollars for the suspect charged with setting the December 28 house fire that led to the death of a Hamilton firefighter. The suspect is the homeowner, 66-year-old Lester Parker. He has pleaded not guilty. 28-year-old Patrick Wolterman died after crashing through a floor fighting the flames. Court records show Parker declined to cooperate with a Cincinnati insurance company's investigation of his claim for fire damage, citing his Fifth Amendment rights. A Butler County judge in July ruled the company did not have to pay the claim.
