Passenger Rail Could Be Coming To Columbus

Federal rail and Indiana transportation officials have approved a process that could restore passenger rail service to Fort Wayne. Preliminary work examining restarting service between Chicago and Columbus is planned to start in January and end by fall. It'll include an assessment of the engineering, technical aspects and the environmental impacts. The process is funded with 350 thousand dollars from municipalities along the route and other groups.
