A Columbus woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for injecting her father with a fatal dose of heroin. 27-year-old Lindsay Newkirk pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter for giving 55-year-old Leonard Newkirk the heroin that caused his overdose death in a Columbus motel last year. Prosecutors say both were heroin addicts.
