Ross County Jury Acquits Suspect In Murder Of Woman

Chillicothe Police

A Ross County jury has acquitted a Chillicothe man in the beating and stabbing death of a female companion whose body was discovered snagged on a fence. 28-year-old Donnie Cochenour Junior was acquitted on Friday following nearly two days worth of jury deliberations in his trial on murder charges in the 2015 death of 31-year-old Rebecca Cade. The defendant admitted the two had consentual sex. Prosecutors say the two got into an argument and she left his residence. Prosecutors say her body wound up on the fence as she fled her attacker.
