Second Lawsuit Filed Against U.S. EPA Over Algae Blooms

Environmental advocates have filed a second lawsuit against the U.S. EPA over whether enough is being done to address toxic algae blooms in Lake Erie. The Environmental Law and Policy Center and members of Advocates for a Clean Lake Erie want the EPA to decide whether the western Lake Erie basin should be declared an impaired watershed, which would lead to stricter pollution controls. The EPA has declined comment.
