Ohio State University has hired Butler University men's basketball coach Chris Holtmann to succeed Thad Matta.Ohio State announced Holtmann's hiring on Friday and will hold a news conference Monday to formally introduce him. The 45-year-old Holtmann led the Bulldogs to a 70-31 record in his three seasons as head coach, including a 25-9 mark and Sweet 16 appearance last season. Earlier this week, OSU athletics director Gene Smith and Matta said they mutually agreed to part ways. Matta is the school's all-time leader in men's basketball coaching victories.
