A Champaign County juvenile court judge says the 14-year-old boy accused of killing his father's girlfriend is competent to stand trial.
Donovan Nicholas currently faces delinquency counts of aggravated murder and murder in the April 6 slaying of 40-year-old Heidi Taylor at a Mad River Township home. Nicholas told a 911 dispatcher an alternate personality was responsible. His attorney admits the teen has mental health issues.
