Man Convicted Of Killing Girlfriend At Local Homeless Camp

A Franklin County jury has convicted a man of killing his girlfriend in a south side homeless camp last year. 

35-year-old Danny Johnson was sentenced Friday to life in prison for the strangulation death of 46-year-old Cathleen Howatt at the camp along the Scioto River near West Mound Street. Johnson was convicted of murder, domestic violence and tampering with evidence.
