Alcohol, Drugs Suspected Factors In Weekend Athens County Crash

The Ohio Highway Patrol suspects alcohol and drugs were factors in a fatal crash in Athens County on Sunday morning. Troopers say 28-year-old driver Travis Barber was injured when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on State Route 144 and crashed into a ditch. His passenger, 54-year-old  Michael Taylor, was killed.  The patrol says neither man was wearing a seatbelt.
