The United Steelworkers Union and Akron-based Goodyear Tire & Rubber have reached a tentative five-year contract agreement covering workers at plants in Ohio and four other states. The deal was reached late Saturday night, just before workers were to go on strike. Terms have not been released. Ratification votes are scheduled in the next few weeks.
