Data compiled by the real estate financial company CoreLogic show Ohio home prices have risen by 7 percent over the past year. The firm's chief economist, Frank Nothaft, says Ohio home prices rose 2.6 percent in the month of June alone, as compared with the same month a year ago.

Nothaft says home prices nationally have risen by nearly 3 percent since June of 2016.
