A former Columbus firefighter has entered an Alford plea to an abduction charge. Delaware County prosecutors say 53-year-old Timothy Durbin's plea bargain is designed to help him avoid a maximum term in jail. Durbin was indicted in 2015 on charges of rape, gross sexual imposition and kidnapping for repeatedly assaulting a 6-year-old female relative over a two year period. A jury last year deadlocked on a verdict. Sentencing on the plea is scheduled for November 14.
