The Knox County Coroner says a 1-month-old boy who died at his father's Mount Vernon home on September 20 was killed by the family dog. An autopsy shows Barrett Hagens sustained extensive injuries, including puncture wounds to his head that could not come from any source other than a dog. The attacking dog and another pit bull at the home have been euthanized.
