Westerville Man Pleads Guilty To Threatening Congressman

Franklin County Sheriff's Office

A Westerville man has pleaded guilty to threatening Republican Congressman Steve Stivers in a voicemail message mentioning last summer's shooting at a Congressional baseball practice.  Prosecutors say 68-year-old E. Stanley Hoff left the voicemail at Stivers' office June 21. No word on a motive. Sentencing is pending.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
