Capital University in Bexley and the nearby Trinity Lutheran Seminary are reuniting after nearly 60 years of separation.
The seminary faced declining enrollment and operated under an unsustainable business model. Capital University President Beth Paul says the merger solidifies the future of the seminary.The schools operated as a single institution from 1830 until 1959, when the newly-formed American Lutheran Church directed the two to part ways.
