Two Wednesday Shootings Raise Columbus' 2017 Homicide Rate to 135

Columbus police are looking for a motive and suspects in a fatal shooting last night on the south side. Police say one person was killed in the parking lot of a bar at Lockbourne Road and Reeb Avenue.  The shooting happened a few hours after another man was killed on the southeast side. Police say 32-year-old Corday Burgess was fatally shot outside his home at Courtright and Petzinger roads. These deaths bring Columbus' homicide rate for 2017 to 135.
