Police in Jackson Township near Massillon say a seventh-grader who shot and wounded himself inside a middle school bathroom Tuesday also had a long gun in his backpack and a molotov cocktail meant to cause a distraction.
Police Chief Mark Brink says he doesn't know how the boy obtained the gun or if anybody else may have been involved or knew something.
Brink has not released the boy's name. Counselors will be at the school today to assist students, faculty and staff.
