Caps Bounce Jackets From Playoffs

Associated Press

Alex Ovechkin had two goals as the Washington Capitals beat the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets 6-3 last night to win their best-of-seven opening round playoff series 4-games-to-2. Jackets coach John Tortorella, who had guaranteed a victory in last night's game, had this to say afterward.

Nick Foligno had two goals for the Jackets, who remain the only active NHL franchise to have never won a playoff series.
