Air Quality Alert Extended Through Sunday

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission has extended Saturday's Air Quality Alert into Sunday.

The organization says heat and sunshine will combine with pollutants from vehicles and factories to produce ozone pollution that is hazardous to the elderly, children, and people with breathing difficulties.  The agency suggests those people stay in an air-conditioned room during the day. It also recommends carpooling where possible, and avoiding outdoor activities during daylight hours.
