Man Charged With Causing Fatal Amish Buggy Crash In Knox County

The Ohio Highway Patrol says a Fredricktown man who struck an Amish buggy from behind on Friday, killing a teen boy and injuring his father and younger brother, has been jailed and charged with vehicular homicide and driving under the influence.

Troopers say 39-year-old Earnest Bennett failed to stop in time and crashed into the buggy on State Route 3, killing 13-year-old Andy Miller and injuring 5-year-old Leroy Miller and 35-year-old Albert Miller.  Leroy and Albert Miller have been hospitalized. Their conditions have not been released.
