The Greater Columbus Arts Council has revised its ticket tax proposal, saying venues up to 400 seats and events costing up to 10 dollars will be exempt from the proposed 7 percent fee.
The move will generate 18 million dollars less revenue but officials say it was made in response to public feedback gathered at three recent public forums. 70 percent of the revenue goes to the arts and 30 percent to fund capital improvements at Nationwide Arena. GCAC submitted the plan to city council on Monday. It's not clear when the panel will hold a vote.
