David Bell, a former Major League player and former Cincinnati Reds minor league manager, has been hired as manager of the Reds' big league team.
The Reds say the 46-year-old Bell has been given a three-year contract with a team option for 2022. A formal announcement is expected later today. Bell was vice president of player development for the San Francisco Giants last season.
