Delaware police have arrested a Hayes High School student who allegedly made a threat that forced district officials to close the facility on Thursday.
18-year-old Troy Ferguson was arrested after several other students reported he had threatened to carry out a school shooting. Ferguson claimed he was joking. Police say they recovered a semi-automatic handgun, air-soft pistol, rope, a gas can, a wig and a fake beard from his car. Ferguson is charged with inducing panic, and he's currently being evaluated at a medical facility before a court date is scheduled.
