Columbus-based Nationwide Insurance is laying off 11 hundred workers around the country, including 350 locally.
Workers began receiving notice on Tuesday of the layoffs taking effect next year. The company says the move is being made to position it for long-term success and growth. The workers are being offered a severance package and outplacement services. In October of last year, the firm announced plans to layoff 400 workers in a streamlining move.
