Former Cheryl's Cookies Owner Files Countersuit

bizjournals.com

The former owner of Westerville-based Cheryl's Cookies has filed a counter lawsuit against the firm.

The company earlier this year sued Cheryl Krueger over her new Short North cookie business, called C Krueger. Krueger sold Cheryl's Cookies in 2005 for 40 million dollars and says she signed a no-compete clause that expired in 2013. She says the lawsuit is baseless. She denies allegations her new firm makes knock-off Cheryl’s cookies. Her lawsuit says Cheryl’s  is unfairly trying to end competition. The company says  it is protecting its trademarks and other property.
