Delaware County Commissioners Thursday rejected bids for the county's former jail building.
The historic property had been on sale for months. Plans could now see the prison and surrounding acreage sold to the Delaware County Land Bank for one dollar. The bank would be responsible for finding a buyer to redevelop the site. According to the Delaware County Historical Society, the facility held convicts from 1878 through 1988.
