Jury Finds Former New Holland Police Chief Not Guilty Of Trespassing

Village of New Holland

A Pickaway County jury Wednesday acquitted former New Holland Police Chief William Lawless of a criminal trespassing charge.

Lawless resigned in July, two months after sheriff's deputies say he was ordered off the property of a woman with whom he was feuding.  Lawless said he was watching a drug deal nearby that had been arranged by an informant.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
