Local Animal Rescue Operators Plead Guilty

Two women who ran an animal rescue operation have pleaded guilty to charges related to the abandonment of more than 20 cats left without food or water in a trailer that was then tied shut.

Kristin Beaupry and her mother, Joyce Meisenhelder, were charged in August after the Licking County Humane Society took custody of the cats left behind by their Pittie Paw Rescue agency. Two cats had died, and one more was euthanized. They duo pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of prohibitions concerning companion animals and abandoning animals.
