Thanks to an anonymous donation, Lancaster parks officials will light up the rock face of Mount Pleasant on Friday and Saturday nights up to 75-times a year.
There have been plans to light up the 250-foot rise since the 1960s, but funding was never available. The donation of 42-thousand dollars will fund the purchase and installation of LED lights plus 20-thousand dollars to cover maintenance issues. Installation work is expected to be completed this spring.
