The Franklin County Court of Appeals has granted a new trial for the Columbus man who bragged about sexually assaulting multiple women.
The court reversed the January 2018 conviction of Edwin Zimmerman, saying a juror mistakenly glimpsed at a photo of the knife on a prosecutor's laptop that was not introduced as evidence. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison for kidnapping at knifepoint in 2016 a woman who police say was a prostitute.
