Columbus based American Electric Power says it plans to invest nearly 10 million dollars to help build electric vehicle charging stations.
The company plans to work with Smart Columbus to reimburse any business in its service area that installs a charging device 100 percent of the cost. Central Ohio electric vehicles account for nearly two out of every ten new car purchases.
