New Anti-Hazing Rules In Effect At Miami University

New rules aimed at preventing fraternity hazing have taken effect at Miami University after a student in March said he was beaten and forced to drink excessive amounts of alcohol in a hazing incident.

The student required hospitalization. Miami's Delta Tau Delta fraternity chapter has been suspended. The rules include requiring fraternity members to complete training courses and shortening the pledging period, among other changes.
