Delaware County's Republican party has chosen a successor to County Prosecutor Carol O'Brien, who resigned in March to become deputy Ohio Attorney General.
Delaware City Prosecutor Melissa Schiffel will soon take over the position. She previously worked in the Fairfield County Prosecutor's office. The party's central committee made its choice during a vote Thursday night.
