The Columbus man who pointed a laser at the cockpit of a commercial airliner during a landing at Glenn Airport last July as been sentenced to 30 days in jail, one year of probation, and to appear in a public-service announcement about the dangers involved.
Prosecutors say 37-year-old Eugene Robinson also pointed a laser at two Columbus police helicopters on the same evening. He was sentenced this week as part of a plea bargain.
