A Knox County man has pleaded guilty to killing a woman in Columbus in 1985.
The case of 24-year-old Sharla Spangler was revived in 2015 when Douglas Krumlauf was arrested for domestic violence. His fingerprints matched those recovered at the crime scene. He pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter under a plea bargain and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Prosecutors say the two were arguing before Spangler was killed.
