Endo Pharmaceuticals says it has reached a settlement in its claims with the first two Ohio counties set to go to trial in the national opioid lawsuit.

The Ireland-based drugmaker said Tuesday that it has agreed to pay Cuyahoga and Summit counties a total of 10 million dollars and to provide up to 1 million of free medication. The U.S. opioid epidemic has prompted thousands of lawsuits.
